New York, NY, September 7, 2016 – American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) today announced that it plans to open a new proprietary office in Bogota, Colombia, expanding its ability to serve companies of all sizes and their travelers across Latin America. With more than 1,000 GBT customers throughout the region, the new location will focus on customer services, extending GBT’s ability to provide companies with travel management services, solutions and localized expertise.

Latin America has been a key region for GBT and its customers for more than 50 years. With additional offices located in Mexico City and Buenos Aires, the office marks the first proprietary office on the ground in Colombia. The new office reaffirms GBT’s commitment to providing its customers across the region with high quality service, technology and travel management expertise.

GBT will continue to work and strengthen its long-term relationship with its current travel partner Expreso Viajes in Colombia to service GBT’s customers within the region. Jorge Garcia Rojas, sales manager, American Express Global Business Travel, will oversee the new office location, which is expected to open in Q4 2016.
