London, UK – July, 2016  American Express Global Business Travel (GBT) has appointed Julien Kauffmann as its new Vice President and General Manager for France, Benelux and Southern Europe. He assumes the role on July 2 and will be based in the Paris office.

In this role, Kauffmann will be responsible for American Express GBT’s strategy, growth and customer relationships across the region. He will report to Senior Vice President and International Managing Director Elyes Mrad.

Kauffmann joins from Disneyland Paris, where he served for 15 years, most recently as Vice President, Transformation. A member of the Executive Committee and reporting to the CEO, the role saw him launch a transformation project that included a digital roadmap and comprehensive review of organisation, processes and culture. Kauffmann’s previous VP roles at Disneyland Paris included Revenue Management and Business Optimisation.

Mrad said: “Julien brings a record of driving revenue growth and digital development within a global brand, and joins American Express GBT at an exciting time for the business, both globally and in the region he will lead.”

Kauffmann said: “I am looking forward to the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead, working with the team to build on this dynamic company’s long history of service and success.”
