Setting The Standard For Safer Travel

From booking a flight to collecting bags at their final destination, travelers may experience a safer, cleaner, and more flexible experience through the Delta CareStandard. With measures in place that are in accordance with the CDC and WHO, a new standard of care focuses on keeping surfaces clean, giving travelers more space, and offering safer service and personal care at every point in the journey. Here’s what to expect from booking to baggage claim:

Preparing and Arriving at the Airport
Equipping travelers with the right information, policies and tools from the moment they book and partnering with Airports and TSA to provide a safer experience.  Facemasks are required throughout the travel journey. If passengers forget their mask, Delta provides care kits, available upon check in. Travelers may also download the Fly Delta App for a more “touchless” experience.

Before Flight and Boarding
Clean surfaces and safe distancing are Delta’s key priorities at the gate and during boarding. They’ve updated their procedures to deliver on the commitment to provide more space — including blocking middle seats on all aircraft and 75% load factor caps beginning October 1, 2020 through to (at least) January 2021. Delta is committed to providing travelers with clean surfaces, and reducing contact with other customers.

During Flight and Upon Arrival
For travelers’ protection, Delta has raised the standard for cleanliness, created more space for travelers on board, and modified services to reduce physical touchpoints.
