Sydney, AUSTRALIA, June 7, 2016 – American Express Global Business Travel (“GBT”) today announced the launch of additional features for its travel and accommodation solution specifically designed to support the unique business travel needs of the oil and gas industry. By integrating with Collabro’s VantagePOB* workforce planning system, GBT provides a complete solution for managing the complex planning and booking of crew rotations to remote locations. The integrated solution helps oil and gas, and offshore operators remove most of the manual processes involved in the booking of travel, from commercial flights through to charter flights and offshore accommodation. It also provides travellers with a single traveller itinerary across their entire journey.
The new capabilities announced today allow bookings to be changed or cancelled online, with little or no manual intervention. Such changes would previously have been made off-line and typically with manual input. In addition, the solution now features an improved interface, displaying information in a user-friendly manner for travel counsellors and bookers. Both enhancements are designed to further automate processes and improve productivity, by reducing manual intervention.
Through its partnership with Collabro, a specialist provider of planning and personnel logistics solutions to major infrastructure operators, GBT’s travel management solution integrates with the VantagePOB workforce planning system. The Vantage POB workforce management system is a web-based program which enables operators and contractors to efficiently monitor and manage the movements of personnel to and from locations.
The fully integrated solution provides significant benefits for oil and gas companies including:

Business travel for oil and gas workers can be incredibly complicated as it involves both commercial and private charter travel to move people to and from remote offshore rigs. Traditionally, booking travel for individuals and crew in the sector has involved significant manual input, but the automation enhancement of the solution will greatly improve productivity, reduce the margin for error, and improve safety standards.
