Appoints Evan Konwiser Vice President, Digital Traveler and
Christophe Tcheng Vice President, Core Products and Platform Architecture —

New York and London, February 19, 2015 – American Express Global Business Travel (“GBT”) is continuing to grow its technology and innovation platform with additional leadership appointments including Evan Konwiser as Vice President, Digital Traveler and Christophe Tcheng as Vice President, Core Products and Platform Architecture. Mr. Konwiser, who was most recently co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of Lark Travel Group, and Mr. Tcheng, who joins GBT from Amadeus Technology Group SA, will work together with newly appointed Chief Technology Officer, Philippe Chereque, on GBT’s overall technology growth strategy and development.

Mr. Konwiser, who is based in New York, will be responsible for traveler-facing technology, such as mobile and the online booking experience. His background and insight into technology, innovation and emerging trends in the travel industry will add immense value to GBT’s customer experience strategy. Mr. Tcheng, who is based in London, will be responsible for the strategy of GBT’s core platforms, such as Point of Sale, Digital Travel Record (DTR), Profile and more. He will oversee the development and execution of these platforms, as well as data quality and protection, customer satisfaction, the integration of proprietary platforms with GBT’s international network and relationships with third-party technology vendors.

Most recently, Mr. Konwiser was co-founder and COO of Lark Travel Group, a luxury leisure travel agency start-up. Previously, he built two other travel products: FlightCaster, which predicts flight delays real-time and was acquired in 2010, and Farely, which analyzes airline cost data for travel buyers. As part of the FlightCaster acquisition, Mr. Konwiser ran the travel business for Next Jump, which includes employee discount programs for Fortune 500 companies. He also spent several years consulting in the travel industry for travel management companies, airlines, global distribution systems and travel media companies. Mr. Konwiser was also an advisor to travel start-ups, including Olset, RocketMiles and GetGoing. Prior to his entrepreneurial work, he was a consultant at Bain & Company, and spent time at Kayak. Mr. Konwiser earned his BA and MBA from Dartmouth.

At Amadeus, Mr. Tcheng held a number of roles of increasing responsibility in Research and Development (R&D), most recently serving as the Head of R&D Services and Ecosystems. In that role, he oversaw the design, build and transformation of R&D service delivery and alliance management built around Amadeus products, including solutions co-delivered with third parties. Mr. Tcheng also acquired extensive experience in Departure Control Systems and travel-related software infrastructures. He studied at the Ecole Polytechnique in Paris, and received advanced degrees from Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Télécommunications (ENST) in Paris.
