Revolutionizing the United flying experience

Meet the future of United’s narrow-body fleet. In June, United announced purchase agreements for 270 new aircraft, including 200 Boeing 737 MAX and 70 Airbus A321neo aircraft – the largest order in their history, and the biggest by a single carrier in a decade. When combined with their current orders, they expect to add more than 500 new narrow-body aircraft through 2024.

One of the best customer experiences in the industry
The bigger, better and more comfortable fleet means a more elevated experience for everyone. The new aircraft – combined with a 100% upgrade of existing mainline, narrow-body aircraft – will feature a modernized experience across the domestic network. The signature interior includes state-of-the-art inflight entertainment at every seat, enough overhead bin space for everyone’s carry-on bag, and the industry’s fastest available Wi-Fi. By flying bigger jets with a signature interior that includes more premium seating, United will give customers more choice when selecting their onboard experience, provide MileagePlus® members more opportunity for upgrades, and position United to better meet the demand among United’s business customers. Watch what’s new.

100% green by 2050
Transforming the fleet from nose to tail also means benefits will extend beyond the travel experience and into the environment. By 2026, United expects the aircraft in this new order alone will lower their total carbon emissions per seat up to 15% – a large milestone in their overall goal of reducing their greenhouse gas emissions by 100% by 2050, without relying on traditional carbon offsets.1 Go green.
